The best place to go would be florida or maybe new york city.
The West Coast is much more beautiful. Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and San Diego are all good size cities that have great people and things to see. If you like trees and grass you must check out the pacific northwest (Washington and Oregon) which hold Seattle and Portland.
One green state can be Tennessee. The major cities are Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis. It is very green and mountainous in East TN.
